About InvestStart

InvestStart exists for one reason: investing is easier to start when you can see what your money might actually do. Most calculators are either too basic to be useful or so packed with financial language that beginners give up before the first result.

So we built a small suite of calculators that explain themselves. Every input has a plain language description. Every result is labelled as an estimate. Every page ends with a short explanation of the maths behind it, so you can decide whether the answer makes sense for your situation.

The tools work the same wherever you live. You can switch the display currency between eleven common currencies, and nothing about your numbers is saved or sent anywhere — the calculations run entirely in your browser.

What InvestStart does not do is tell you what to buy. We do not recommend investments, promise returns, or claim to know what markets will do. The calculators show what your own assumptions lead to, which is the most honest starting point we can offer.
